Saturday night full of blessings!

Today was great day!  Dayne and girlfriend Stephanie were home and so were Keagan and Megan.  We all had breakfast together!!  That never happens!  Wonderful morning!!

This evening we had a Pee Wee basketball game at the school!  Ava got to cheer!  It was pretty stinkin CUTE!!  She loved it!  She was very happy all of us were there especially her Bubbies!!!  Grandma and Grandpa got to come too. After the game we all headed home and had pizza and enjoyed hearing the boys tell funny stories of their childhood!  AMAZINGLY Blessed day!!!

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY..........

One year ago to day we had a Baby in our Inbox!!!!!!!!  Hard to believe its been a year and yet it seems like we have had her forever!!!  WE ARE BLESSED!

Today started like any other day!  Checking the email!  Nothing there so I hit refresh again and again!!!  Still NOTHING!  So off to the grocery store I went!  I stopped at the gas station 2 miles from home to fill up!  The email alert on my phone rang, it said Admin: Adoption Referral.  I almost passed out!   OH MY!!!  First.....stop the gas pump---whew--glad I used my credit card, because I wouldn't have remembered to pay!  Then off to find Tim!  I knew he was at his parents this morning!!  Tim doesn't get email on his phone so I was the ONLY one who knew!!!   I didn't look at the picture though until I found Tim!!   The 15 minute drive to his parents was the LONGEST ever! I walked into Grandma and Grandpa Bogard's house where Tim was and shouted "ITS A GIRL"  Everyone was shocked and super excited!!!  Tim and I then scrolled to the bottom of the email and saw the most beautiful baby!!!!  She is just perfect!!!  Tears were flowing as Daddy  read the referral info!    We text the boys and then everyone else!!!  The phone calls and text started coming in!!  We are very blessed to have the support we do!  Momma put a teaser on facebook, but Ava didn't know yet so we couldn't tell about the referral yet! We waited as long as Momma could stand it and went to tell Ava at preschoool!!  We told Ava and all her friends in class that Ava is a big sister!!!!  Ava's little hand went to her mouth as she gasped!!  :)  All the kids gathered around and looked at the picture!!!  Thanks Miss Kelley and Miss Lezlie for letting us interrupt your class!!  What a special day for Ava! in case you wondered I never made it to the grocery store!! Today was beautiful day outside for February....so we played outside all day!  This was the first time Kerrigan has been able to walk around by herself outside...and SHE loved it!  We put some cute little shoes on and she followed Ava all over the place!  They played on the swings and slide!  They also played in the sand box!  Kerrigan snacked on a little of the sand!!  SHE puts EVERYTHING in her MOUTH!!!






  We took the opportunity with the nice weather to get some outside pics!!  I dressed the girls in some Chinese silk and had some fun!!

Tonight we had Chinese food and used chop sticks dinner!  We played Chinese music while we ate!  Ava thought it was fun to celebrate Chinese New Year this way!  Tomorrow they are celebrating at school and she is taking her Chinese music CD and wearing her Taiwan shirt with Chinese writing!!  She is excited!

BLESSED TO BE SISTERS!

People often tell us the girls are "lucky"!  Well we feel WE are the "lucky"/BLESSED  ones to have been given the opportunity to have such wonderful blessings in our life!  But today I realized YES the girls are blessed.....just like we are blessed to have them....THEY are blessed to have each other!  They were playing jewelry dress up today.  Kerrigan even got into it by putting on necklaces herself!   The giggling that was going on in my living room was a blessing!  They truly LOVE each other!  They are so blessed to have each other....to have a sibling to grow up with..... BUT MOSTLY I'M  BLESSED TO BE THEIR MOMMA ;)


              

                                                                                                       

SUPERBOWL FUN.......

Today was an official holiday at the Bogard's.   SUPERBOWL Sunday!!  We had Peaches and Casburns over, ate way too much food and had a great time watching the game!

Look Who's WALKING.....

All week Kerrigan has gotten braver and braver about standing on her own!  She would stand up and then clap for herself :)  SUPER CUTE!!!

On Thursday she took 2 steps on her own so we knew she was CLOSE!!!!  WELL.....today she decided she CAN walk!!!  So cute!  She looks so tiny walking!!  She walked to Ava first OF COURSE!!!
