The antics of 4 blessings and counting.....: July 4th Blessings......

What a great day today!!! Independence Day!! I don't think I've ever appreciated July 4th as much as today!! So many emotions! Thinking about my son...THE AIRMAN....learning how to protect our freedoms!! Also watching my daughters....who started life under Communism and are now AMERICAN citizens! I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed today thinking about how blessed we are to live in such an amazing country!!

We started our day with the parade in Mt Carmel. We met Dylan and Megan there! So much fun, seeing all the veterans for wars past! The girls had a great time....they got tons of candy! Kerrigan caught on very quickly to the candy thing....she would wave and yell "HI" to all the parade people in hopes of getting more candy.....WORKED like a CHARM :) By the time we were done we had half a huge bag FULL!!!

Then on to a picnic swim party at Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary's! So fun to watch the girls with their cousins! We all swam...ate too much....and then watched fireworks! Kerrigan loved the fireworks! She would sit on the blanket with Ava, Alice and Katie and when a firework would explode she would jump up and clap and yell...then flop back down on the blanket and wait to do it all again!!! So much fun to watch the world through children's eyes!!! Ava was excited because she got to do her first ever sparklers!! Momma is sorta a safety freak and haven't ever let her touch one before...but peer pressure got the best of me and "all the other kids were doing it" so I let her....and she had fun....and guess what she even SURVIVED, just like I did when I was a kid:) Wonderfully blessed day!!!
